This room should have bottled water, tote of food (our BOB's have MRE's so not much is necessary), pre cut plastic & tape for window& doors, towel for vents & bottoms of doors.  Portable toilet bucket with all necessary supplies, DO NOT use toilet, when you flush it allows toxic air up into the room.  Small handheld radio with spare batteries, this is a must have at some point it becomes dangerous to be indoors & officials will let us know when that time is.  If there are drains(tub, toilet, sink) make sure there is water in them to ensure air from entering up through drains.  Blankets & entrtainment such as board games for comfort.
  • Grab cell phones, chargers (may not have electricity).  All but 1 cell phone (dads) should be turned off to conserve battery power.
  • Grab assigned BOB(s), blanket & pillow & take to disignated room.

Emergency Go Bags

 Personal BOB's

(Bug out Bag) aka Go Bags or 72 hr kit

Stay at home with you stuff if possible, leaving may be dangeous.  Medical/Emergency responders may not be an option.  Phones (land line or cell) may not be in service.  Prepare for possible break ins, prepare to protect youself & your family.  Don't plan on using a gun unless you know how to use it & your willing to take the life of another.  Make sure you know what your doing before you put a weapon in your childs/spouses hands, you could very well be making them a target or put them in danger.  Remember your not the only one trying to protect their family.  Desperation will make good people do crazy things.  Please keep in mind there may not be any electricity or gas to run your house.  If power does go out your fridge & freezer may not stay cold long.  The water may be contaminated.  Fuel for vehicles is going to be in very short supply so lets hope what's in your vehicle is sufficient.  Riot's may be going on & people panicking at your local market, so shopping is probably off the list.  Can you family, heaven forbid something happens to you, take care of themselves?  Will they have all the info they need to not only stay safe but to be confident of their survival?  Can &/or are you willing to help freinds, family, neighbors?  You need to decide now!  People will need help.  Where are you going?  Do they know to expect you if the phones are down & you can't call ahead?
